I saw this image ten years ago at a techno festival. People submerging themselves to a place of peace while being surrounded by the loudest of noises. Their expressions reminded me of the faces I’ve seen at classical concerts. The music was really happening within them.

And I got this idea. That adults too have the power of play within their reach.
We just have to get lost to be able to find it.

Thank you Buiten Westen Festival and Thomas for letting me capture the image that lingered on in my head. Masha Osipova for shooting with me that very long day. Gino and Benjamin for standing by our sides. Camalot for letting us play with their gear and Jesse Koolhaas for composing the beautiful piece that encapsulates this little ode to the playground we sometimes dread upon.
